Jonna C. Paden

Jonna C. Paden (Acoma Pueblo) is an archivist and educator dedicated to the preservation, accessibility, and stewardship of Indigenous knowledge and cultural heritage. She serves as Archivist at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center and as an Adjunct Professor at the Institute of American Indian Arts, where she teaches collaborative research in cultural administration.

Jonna is the Immediate Past-President of the American Indian Library Association and an active member of the Society of Southwest Archivists. She has contributed to oral history and preservation initiatives, as well as the School for Advanced Research Guidelines for Collaboration. She has presented nationally on Indigenous archives, community-centered stewardship, and inclusive archival practices.

A Circle of Learning scholar, Jonna holds an MLIS in Archival Studies and Records Management from San José State University and a Bachelor of University Studies in English, Linguistics, and Native American Studies from the University of New Mexico. She is committed to building relationships across communities and fostering spaces where Indigenous stories, voices, and histories are honored, protected, and sustained.
