  • What does it mean to have a digital presence on the internet, and how can we position our work and the ways we show it?

This workshop explores how artists at every stage of their practice can build and protect a lasting legacy in the digital realm—examining not just how we build a digital presence, but how we ensure it remains ours.

In an era defined by platforms, artists face a quiet but consequential choice: let the algorithm decide how our work is framed and who sees it, or build toward something more durable.

This workshop explores digital autonomy in the platform age—how to use the tools and platforms that already exist not as endpoints, but as funnels that lead audiences back to spaces you own, control, and can preserve. From social media strategy to independent websites to long-term digital preservation, we'll dig into the practical realities of maintaining creative autonomy online.

This will be a small-group workshop that will respond to our specific cohort and will be tailored to the participants' careers, practices, and technical skills. The workshop will be led by Yann Novak.
